cjlevinsk22
Hello all! I'm completley new to all of this and had a few quesionts. First--my configuration: Processor--Pentium D 930 3.0 GHz Chipset--Intel 945P Motherboard--Asus P5LP-LE GFX--ATI Radeon x1300 Pro HD--Maxtor 6L300S0 300GB SATA Sound--Integrated Realtek ALC 882 chipset I tried once already but with no success using iDeneb. The disc booted up, and I was able to install, but could not get the finished install to boot (getting an MBR error) Question--I've been reading all the guides and many talk about GPT? I repartitioned my current HD which is MBR, and set aside 100GB for Leopard. Is this OK or do I HAVE to use a GPT-type partition? Any direction/help would be greatly appreciated! -Chris cjlevinsk22 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165969-getting-started-on-asus-5plp-le/ Share on other sites
carlolaitano
I have a very similiar setup and I used Kalyway 10.5.2 install and it works great. I still haven't been able to update to 10.5.7 but i'm looking into it. Try Kalyway 10.5.2, it should work. If you get stuck send me a private message and i'll try to help as best as I can.
