I'm running retail 10.5.6 on a Gigabyte EP45-DS3L, and everything is working well. My board doesn't have onboard firewire, though, so I've put in an old Adaptec FireWire PCI card, but nothing comes up in the system profiler under PCI cards or Firewire. I do see the following issue in the log files:

[PCIESlotCheck] Error reading PCIE lane config. Unable to check PCIE slots for changes.

but I'm not sure if that is related. What do I need to do to get Leopard to recognize my PCI card? I've booted with -f, but no change. The card works fine in Windows, so it isn't the problem.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

No help Im afraid, but I am seeing the same error every boot, and the scsi pci card I tried to use didn't work - works fine in my g4 with osx or my dell with debian.

You are not alone

Seems like the pci slots may actually be dead on this mobo with this install.

Anyway, asked for more info here.
