osxmike86
I just got OSX86 working awesome on my PC but I do have a few minor issues. Here are my specs: ECS nForce 570 SLIT-A v5.1 Motherboard with ALC833 audio Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2GB DDR2 RAM nVidia 7950GT 512MB 320gb Western Digital SATA HD USB Keyboard/Mouse First of all I think it is only using one core. I only see one in the activity monitor and I had to use the CPUS=1 fix for my e6600 in order for it to boot properly. I think it might have to do with my bios or mobo but I do not know where to look to determine that. Is there any way to get around using that fix so I am able to utilize both cores. Also my graphics card seems to be running a bit slow when I am running XP in vmware fusion. Rendering is just very slow. Even if I remote to the XP computer from my laptop runnin XP it runs way faster than it does when im accessing it directly on the mac. And yes i do have 3d acceleration enabled in vmware. This is what system profiler says about my graphics card: Chipset Model: Graphics by NVIDIA Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x8 VRAM (Total): 512 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0295 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.1 Displays: L226WT: Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Software Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported QuartzGL: Supported Also I would like to be able to run dual displays but I don't know how to set that up. The second display is connected but it does not show up under System Prefs.... Displays.
