Currently running 10.4.6 Jas, if somebody says to replace a kext from 10.4.5, can I use the ones from the updates on the Apple website or do I need to use download torrents. I was told to replace IOPCIFamily.kext in order to get my PCMCIA wireless working, but now it keeps freezing at boot (-V reveals it is getting stuck at

"WirelessAirPortDeviceNameCopy(): no

AirPort driver found"

What do I have to do to get this PC card working??? Did a chmod and chown to fix the permissions already

The card is on the HCL list [Dlink/Atheros DWL-AG660] and my PCMCIA chipset is a Texas Instruments. Everything else is working as it should. Going NuTs! :sorcerer:

I also get this error, but it is when I am trying to install OSX86 10.4.6 from DVD.

It comes up with the error: "WirelessAirportDeviceNameCopy(): no AirPort driver found" and then the install just hangs there.

I don't even have a wireless network, or a card for it in my computer, so I'm not sure why I should be having a problem. Maybe I need to put a PCI network card in?

Some help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
