I've been searching for a couple hours on how to do this and didn't find what I needed. I've found guides for installing it via burned DVD, but I don't have an external DVD drive. Some guides told me to use OSX's Disk Utility to copy the image onto the USB drive, but alas I don't have access to a Mac. Is there a way to install OSX from a USB drive by preparing the drive with windows/linux software?

Thanks.

Went through the tutorial here:

Got through it, but got confused when it comes to booting the image.

I have 3 partitions, my XP partition, my Install partition with the image dumped into it, and a blank partition for installing OSX onto. The guide says to set the install partition to active, but when I do that my computer doesn't boot up at all. When I mark my XP partition as active, then I can boot into Chameleon, but when I select my image it won't boot up.

Help?

I'm using iDeneb 1.4, but I haven't got to the installing part yet. I've only dumped the image to the partition, but I can't boot it. I'm entirely confused when it comes to booting the install partition as followed in this guide:

Setting the Install Partition to active causes my computer to become unbootable. When my XP partition is set to active I can boot into Chameleon and choose the Install Partition, but it doesn't boot, it just flashes black for a second and goes back to Chameleon.

If anyone has done this install method, could you throw me a bone or lend me a hand?

Did you also follow this

and also this

??

Give me feedback for me it also was a bit of strange.

And also i do not have to set any partition to active or not active if you follow the last to links and do it like that.

So i booted with this method http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=160746

And in leo install helper you have to watch for that you do not check any of these checkboxes.

If you then boot you normaly see xp partition, your install partition where you extract the iso and another one can´t remember what that one is.

But you have to boot the one with the apple that is your install partition.

it must work otherwise something went wrong.

and sorry for my bad english i´m german! B)

ahhh and another thing i wanne ask you...did you use a modified bios for your 1000H?

i think you need this for sure.

few days a brand new modified one was released.
