GamingFusion
I have iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6, and it's working for the most part, my dvd drive(Memorex Lightscribe DVD) is not recognized, by iDeneb. I was wandering if there is anything to fix it. I have a Intel DP35DP Motherboard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165696-ide-dvd-drive-not-recognized/ Share on other sites

Julian Peng
I have same problem for my PATA Sony DVD RW. My solution is 1. download AppleATIATA.kext by url http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...130895&st=0 2. copy AppleATIATA.kext to /System/Library/Extensions and rename/delete AppleVIAATA.kext and AppleOnboardPCATA.kext 3. execute kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions , do not delete Extensions.mkext 4. reboot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165696-ide-dvd-drive-not-recognized/#findComment-1154323 Share on other sites
MithrilFox
IDE optical drives are NOTORIOUS for giving people problems trying to install Mac OS X on PC hardware. DO NOT use an IDE drive. I talk more about the issue in my Hackintosh Tutorial videos: Fox's Hackintosh Install Tutorial Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165696-ide-dvd-drive-not-recognized/#findComment-1161199 Share on other sites
