Pretzels
I cannot get the DVD drive to mount once OSX starts. I have a Intel Q35 chipset, and everything else works but that. My HDD's are sata but my DVD Burner is IDE. I Installed the intel ICH10 Sata support chipset drivers upon install but still not working. I Have a usb dvd drive that works for now, but i would really like to get the internal dvd drive to work. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Pretzels Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165689-ide-dvd-not-working-in-1056/ Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
ICH10 is SATA only. Your motherboard has a separate controller for PATA drives, you need to find out what make and model it is so you can install an appropriate driver for it. Pretzels
Its the DQ35JO Mother Board from Intel. I cannot find chipset drivers for this board for Mac. I will keep trying to look for them, maybe i will try to look for PATA specifically for this board. Thanks for the help, any info is helpful in this situation so again i thank you very much. Beerkex'd
google is so useful, more people should use it. This is your PATA controller: 04:00.0 IDE interface [0101]: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88SE6101 single-port PATA133 interface [11ab:6101] (rev b1) You need AppleVIAATA.kext.
