X86 asker
Hi, I want to install windows 7 on my computer. Now, when it would be finished installing how can I be able to add windows 7 in the chameleon boot loader list? Is there a way to edit it or will it be automatically added? Thank's to all the answerers. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165575-edit-the-chameleon/ Share on other sites
mattodefou
Hi, I had Win7 installed on a separate hard drive. Chameleon 2.0 automatically recognized Windows and I was able to boot from Chameleon. X86 asker
Hi, I had Win7 installed on a separate hard drive. Chameleon 2.0 automatically recognized Windows and I was able to boot from Chameleon. Thank's I am now installing win7 but I have a problem: When I click install now it says copying temporary files but after 2 seconds a msgbox appears saying "Windows was unable to create a required folder". Do you have any ideas what the problem can be??? mattodefou
I don't know for sure. Because I had my Win7 on a separate hard drive. But what I know is that during partition Win7 creates some 200MB space for the system files. See what happens when you format the space for Win7? Aranius
Afaik You have to format a drive as NTFS for Win7 before you install it since it has Problems doing it itself on a guidedrive or something like that... Another thing might be, that Chameleon inteferes with the installation, it does that for me, although that was Vista^^ In this case, get something to boot OSX without Chameleon (Boot132CD for example), use "bootrec /fixmbr" in Recoveryconsole in Windows, install Win7, start OSX and reinstall Chameleon... As for the question itself: Chameleon adds Win7 to the list, since it's only booting partitions and doesn't bother whether there is an OS or not Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165575-edit-the-chameleon/#findComment-1151759 Share on other sites

Do you think this is the problem or is there a patch to make it work???
