vneexceeded Posted May 8, 2009 Share Posted May 8, 2009 I have been going through a guide on getting a dual boot system up with vista and leopard i followed the guide and in windows i made a partition of 15gb for osx. and as the guide says i left it unassigned next i went through with the install. everything goes fine. i get to the screen select a desitination screen which is empty and i click on disk utilities to find my partition i made in windows. that 15gb partition i made in wondows isnt shown ... only the hard drive itself and the partition that windows is on and the 10gb partition for backup. when i made the partition i decreased the size of the windows partition by 15gb. ive got like 60gb free i do not want to erase the windows partition by making a mistake and thought someone here could shed some light on this situation. here is what i have in my system: Windows Vista Home premium service pack 1 its a HP Pavillion 6500 notebook PC Intel core 2 duo t5250 1.5ghz 2gb ram 32 bit system FUJITSU MHW2160 BHPL Hard drive 160gb running microsoft drivers version 6.0.6001.18000(longhorn_rtm.080118-1840) i duno what else might be helpful to anyone with possible answers. please let me know if you need anything else thanks VNE Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/165569-osx-cant-see-the-partition-i-made-anyone-have-any-ideas/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
RSN Posted May 8, 2009 Share Posted May 8, 2009 Format the partition in Windows to NTFS or FAT32/16. Now reinstall Mac and under Utilities choose Disk Utility and format it to Mac Journal Extended.
