I have tried iDeneb 10.5.6 on this, the DVD boots OK, I can set options and the DVD installs, but on reboot the computer stops responding right after it says MAC Foundation and the buffer values.

Can anyone say which distro works with the this laptop or what I need to set to get a basic install of OSX.

Thanks.

Type "Dell Inspiron I8200" in the search box.

I get this response:

You searched for: Dell Inspiron I8200

Unfortunately your search didn't return any results.

Even tried Google adding OSX 10.5.6 - still nothing.

Found out the iDeneb runs the DVD, iPC freezes running the DVD..

Neither installs.

Odd, I get several pages of results. Try deleting your google cookies..?

If you can't get it to work, use this to search instead:

Thanks for those, looks like 10.4.8 may work, but really wanted a Leopard install not a Tiger - unless I can upgrade from Tiger to leopard...

Does this mean that no-one has done a 10.5 install from DVD or otherwise on an I8200?
