xVariable Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 I've been unable to get my ATI x850 XT PE PCIe card to provide CI and QE, reliably, with koverg's hacked kext (see the notroious thread for details ). So, the only alternatives at this point are to 1) wait and see if any developments emerge from koverg or Omni, 2) hope that, once the Intel Power Macs are released, ATI will release drivers f/a broader range of their cards, including mine, or 3) replace the above card with a better supported one. Assuming I go with the last option, in terms of ATI cards, which "supported" model is the 1) fastest/most expensive, 2) cheapest/slowest, and 3) which one has the best price:performance ratio? This is information a lot of people can use, so anyone's contribution would be greatly apprecited!
