I have managed to assemble (what i think) is the perfect budget mac.

I'v installed the retail 10.5.6 leopard (using boot132) and most things worked straight away.

audio, chipset and time machine i had to add a few kexts but now everything is working...exept the graphics card.

its an asus 9400 GT 512MB

the problem im having is that everytime i move a window the content disappears and i have to minimize and then maximise to get it back. also when scrolling through certain windows the text will sort of mount ontop of itself and all jumble up leaving a mess of text behind the original. i have been told it may have something to do with redraw?

has anyone got any suggestions on how to solve this?

i would be very apreciative :(

ps. i realise i havnt explained this very well and so will upload screen shots of exactly what i mean this evening

Because the graphical errors are caused by hardware accelerated graphics not working properly.

In safe mode there is no hardware acceleration (QE/CI).

So basically I am screwed when it comes to QE/CI with GTX 260, at least until Snow Leopard comes out? Well. That's a shame.
