Installing Hackintosh on P5Q SE/R

Hi all!

I downloaded and burned iPC yesterday and I tryed to make it works.

It doesn't work, or better, it dosen't start from DVD.

I burned it on a DVD+R support and i put it on my DVD Unit; I press F8 and then I typed -v; in some seconds my pc rebooted.

I searched on the internet and I found that P5Q SE/R works only with iDeneb.

Now I'm going to download iDeneb image only if someone could tell if my pc (in my signature) works.

I red in project86 site that this OS works only if I patch my Bios.

If I patch the Bios, will i be able to install iPC?

Could someone tell me what changes this patch do?

Ho scaricato e masterizzato iPC e ho provato a installarlo.

Non funziona, o meglio, non parte proprio il DVD.

L'ho msterizzato su un DVD+R e l'ho messo nell'unità VD, ho avviato il PC, ho premuto F8 e ho scritto -v...ma dopo pochi secondi si è riavviato il PC.

Ora pensavo di provare con iDeneb che è il sistema consigliato per la mia scheda madre P5Q SE/R

Ho letto che però funziona solo col Bios Patchato.

Che cambiamenti fa il Bios?...se lo patcho, posso provare iPC?

Che pacchetti dovrei installare per la mia scheda audio e per il mio processore? (anche tutti dato che ci sono )

Won't do anything except allow you to boot. I too was reluctant to try it, but I tried everything and still couldn't get it to boot. Finally decided I'd try the BIOS and everything was installed and working in an hour. So in my experience, the bios was harmless ( I could still boot Windows ) and made the installation possible.

 

Then, after I installed, I found out what the difference between the BIOS was- The updated one removes 'cpu aliases', which are incompatible I guess. Follow this guide - It works;

Anyway, Good luck with your iPC install( I used same version, worked like a charm with my Asus P5Q-SE )!
