hotbarstow2ac
This may be the wrong sub-forum, but excuse me because I'm new and very frustrated. I have a MacBook, the last generation before the unibody. In a tragic boot camp installation accident, I wiped my OSX partition. I thought I could easily remedy this problem, until I found my OEM OSX install disc, with a massive scratch that rendered the disc unreadable. I went to Apple, 130 bucks for a new copy of OSX. I don't have 130 dollars. I also don't have a DVD burner so I can't just burn a retail ISO. Here's what I DO have: A MacBook running XP A 120 GB iPod Two OEM copies of OSX (one unreadable, one specific to a mac mini that isn't mine) A OSX86 Tiger disc that I'm pretty sure I can't install on my mac (which doesn't make sense) A retail DMG file. Does anyone know how, with any combination of the above, I can get OSX back on my MacBook and my sanity back? Any help would be apperciated. The only thought I have is booting a .dmg from my iPod, but all the instructions on the internet are specific to doing that process via OSX.
