Hi there, I have a Dell Optiplex GX270 with an Intel Pentium 4 2.4ghz processor and Intel Integrated Graphics.

Yesterday, I downloaded ToH RC2 and Kalyway and burned them to DVDs. Kalyway won't get past all the loading texts, and freezes at the Kernel Version.

ToH gets past the loading stuff, but when it gets to the install GUI, it is all gray, like everything, even the background and the spinning ball are gray, and almost impossible to read. Can anyone help me out with why it is doing this? Thanks.

Edit: I used the Kalyway Make Leopard Bootable disc, and I managed to do what I needed to do with the screen being gray-ish, but now ToH won't get to the GUI install.

Yup!

It's like my link to the post says.......

You'll be able to get iPC Final to boot up in a good graphics mode ie, not that illegible "it is all gray, like everything, even the background and the spinning ball are gray, and almost impossible to read."

BUT

As soon as you finish the installation and you reboot you will find that there is no HDD controller as it is not handled well, then there will be a graphics issue and the sound will be totally unusable!

Where do you live? I have a few GX280s that I have to ship to Africa as part of a project, If i send them another GX270 it will not make a difference seeing that they're already getting 30! :)

SticMAC

So are you saying because of the BIOS it won't work?
