Morning... Noob here.

 

Right i have installed leopard following this guide

except i have used iatkos 5i. Installation went well, no errors. Didn't even have to repair Vista after!

 

 

 

Vista loads with no issues, but when I try and boot into OSX it hangs during boot up at the following screen

Still waiting for root device is the error, and give the circle with a slash within.

 

Just install a trial of macdrive in Vista, then drag your kext folder to /System/Library/Extensions.

You can also use HFS explorer to do this.

 

If done, boot with the flags -s. (Terminal)

type:

boot -uw /
cd /System/Library/Extensions
chown -R root:wheel *.*
chmod -R 755 *.*
reboot

 

Good luck!

No joy... already an AppleViatta folder in there.. tried that terminal bit, no joy either!!

 

Would a reinstall be worth a try?
