mr.humann
I was told that reFIT voids Apple's hardware warranty for some reason so I'm hoping to avoid it. I have a Clovertown octocore with an empty 250G drive in it that I want to divide between Ubuntu and Windows 7. I've read about the GPT/MBR hybrid that Bootcamp creates to make its Windows partitions bootable. I've now reread that article several times without really understanding how it works. What I'm wondering is if I can use Bootcamp to partition the drive first, install Windows, then install the Wubi application under Windows. It apparently allows for dual-booting Windows and Ubuntu. Supposed to be pretty slick. Bottom line is I have a working computer here and I'm worried that my experimentation might end that. Anybody out there already do this? Almost all the triple-boot stuff I've found that includes OS X is related to laptops or otherwise only a single drive. Any helpful advice greatly appreciated. mr.humann
Doh! Of course I have to post before I read the hugely popular post about AHCI at the top of the forum.
