rymbrant Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 Hey all, I appreciate all the help on here, I got all my parts over the weekend and I just bought the 10.5.6 Leopard DVD. I plan on building the hackintosh over the weekend with my buddy and I was going to let him install it on his PC as well after we get it running on mine. Will the DVD allow this to happen or am I going to have to buy the Family-Pack? Thanks! Zaap Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 The Family Pack really just works on the honor system: you're buying a license to install OSX on several machines, but really the same OSX disk either way. OSXtotheZ Posted May 4, 2009 Share Posted May 4, 2009 congrats and good luck. you've done one better than most by actually purchasing the Retail copy. so props for that. you shouldn't have any trouble installing on multiple machines if thats what your looking to do although "technically" your buddy should follow your fine example and buy a copy as well. Which is what I'm sure he and all of us are planning to do in the near future as well as all of us buying "real" macs once we all get the hang of this new fangled Mac OS. Use it. Love it.
