I'm ready to upgrade to 10.5.6 and ditch Kalyway's 10.5.1 install. The only items not working are the line-in/line-out jacks, and the USB speed being really slow . I spent the last 2 days attempting various combinations and bare installs of iDeneb's 10.5.6 build without any success.

Long story short: I keep seeing "still waiting for root device," regardless of which options I select. Should I try a different version?

My specs:

processor: Intel Celeron M (single core)

video: GMA915

audio: AC97

wifi: Broadcom

Here are some of the combinations I tried:

#1: ideneb, AC97, 82566, Broadcom, ,Battery, GMA900

results:

hangs @ grey screen (harddrive light stops flashing moment grey screen with Apple logo appears"

#2: ideneb, AC97, Kernel 9.2.2 SSE3, battery

results:

"unable to initialize UIM"

"still waiting for root device"

#3: ideneb, 9.5.0 Voodoo, Cpus=1 fix, AC97, GMA950, IOUSBFamily Fix

Seatbelt fix, battery

results:

"Computer failed to attach a link local address"

"still waiting for root device"

#4: ideneb, EHCI USB sleep enabler, GMA950, 9.5 Voodoo, AC97

results:

"still..."

#5: ideneb, 9.2.0 sleep

results:

"still waiting..."

#6: ideneb, PS2fix Mouse, AC97, KERNEL 9.2.0 sleep, GMA900, AmmpleSMBios Macbook

results:

"EHCI unable to take control from BIOS"

"AppleUSBEHCI - unable to obtain ownership

"AppleUSBEHCI - UIM initialize - Error occurred"

"AppleUSBEHCI - Unable to initialize UIM

"Still waiting for root device"
