Moze
Hello everyone I'm building a new Hackintosh and need some help to choose right parts for it. I found that older motherboards like P5WDH or GA-P35-DS3 are best choice for Hackintosh, but i can't find them to buy and think they are too old already. The most concerning thing for me are is compatability and stability. I'm going to build a workstation/file server. I want sata, sound, LAN, video and if possible PCI and PCI-E slots to work perfectly. Motherboard: GA-EP45-UD3 or GA-EP45-DS3L As i found this motherboards are one of best choice for hackintosh. Maybe you could offer a better one? Also I'm planing to build a RAID of ~4 Hard drives. VGA: MSI 8500GT Silent or Asus 9400GT Silent All I need from VGA is to be silent and cool, because sometimes I play video games i want it to be fully supported. Memory: 4GB Corsair 1066 XMS2 RAM CPU: E7400 or E5200(for start). P.S. Sorry for grammar mistakes (if present ) , English is not my native language. Moze
9400GT silent works perfectly. Looks good! Thanks for info. Also I wanted to know if sound is working properly on this motherboards? Will 5.1, front audio, SPDIF and microphone work? I found that one of retailers in my region have GA-EG31MF-S2 motherboard. This motherboard have older chipset with ICH7 southbridge and older audio card ALC888. I understand that ICH10 is not natively supported by Leopard, so maybe this motherboard could be better choise. Maybe someone who have tested this motherboards could comment if they have made sound to work properly?
