Beerkex'd Posted April 28, 2009 Share Posted April 28, 2009 Nice try but you can't boot a retail DVD on a PC straight up. If it was that easy there wouldn't be six billion trillion posts on this forum. If you want to install from a retail DVD you need a Boot-132 or Chameleon 2.0 boot CD specially tailored for your motherboard (or very similar motherboard). It works like the swap trick that allows you to play backups on a Playstation. Start up from the boot CD, then swap in the retail DVD. The boot CD loads a bunch of modified system files into memory that fools the Retail DVD into thinking that it's booting on Apple hardware. Type Boot-132 in the search box.
