Hi, thanks for looking.

Just discovered, that in my system´s system.log (/applications/utilities/console.app) there are steadily repeating messages like:

kernel[0]: FireWire GUID 00fffffb00000fea is invalid!

After troubleshooting and restarting I found, that the message is not present after restart, but only after wake up from sleep (S3).

Can anyone veryify ? Looks like a bug to me, as my system works flawless and alle the firewireports (all MOBO integrated) also are fully functioning.

Also I found, that the message is independent of any devices being attached to the FW ports.

Thanks for any replies.

Ah, almost forgot: found a simular thread, but the possible solution (upgrading the MOBO BIOS) didn´t help in my case. My MOBO BIOS now is at F7. Here´s the thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...hp/t100835.html

ok, one shouldn´t open a thread and only reply on his own.

Just posting the solution to the above problem, as it might be helpful to others:

Finally decided to upgrade my mobo (Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R) firmware to the latest built, which is 8j. As it is a beta I refused to do so, because I didn´t want to threaten my otherwise flawless system.

Result: the Error message has vanished.

Thanks to this thread, that presents the solution:
