The Basilisk
I created a primary partition on my hard drive using partition magic but when I type in "create partition primary id=af" using disk part, I get an error saying that "Diskpart was unable to create the specified partition" Can someone plese help? I'm using the method from this site: http://profit42.com/guides.php?id=6 If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. belgrano
Then use your OSx86 install dvd to format the partition as hfs+. Start Disc Utility - see in the taskbar in the installation sequence. Select the partition you want to install OS X to, choose Erase as Mac OS Extended. Do not use 'Format' command - it will screw up the entire hdd! Then, after the erase is complete, close Disk Utility and you can carry on with the installation of OS X.
