rhollister
I have gone through and installed OSx on my pc. The only problem I am running into is that the microsoft keyboard and mouse are not working properly. I would go ahead and asume that this microsoft product does not work with a mac. But I see that people are getting theirs to work with the build in tranciever that most macs come with. I addition to this my mouse works in osx! (with the microsoft transciever) So my keyboard is the only part that does not work. It does not recognize my bluetooth transciever. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? macgirl
The Microsoft BT tranceiver or dongle works with Mac OS X 10.4.4 and newer (but I only tested the BlueTooth 2 one). Althoug they don't work at boot becaus BT is loaded after some components were loaded, the BT kext included of course. Miscrosoft Drivers now work with Mac OS X, they just released days ago but the BT devices are not supported in those drivers, even on PPC Macs. So if you want to use BT Devices you need at least a PS2 or USB KB at least, and just to enable/configure the BT devices a PS2 or USB mouse. I use a driver called SteerMouse for my MS BT Mouse to get all the buttons advantage, there is another driver called USBOverdrive but right now it does not support BT yet, but the developer promised it will support it. rhollister
Ah yes you are completely right. I was running 10.4.2 when I posted this question. I then upgraded to 10.4.6. I am completely amazed at how far these builds have come in such a short time span. 10.4.2 I could not get my wireless card to work, Blue tooth reciever, or MacVidia display drivers. Now everthing works beautifully. This is good info since I searched high and low on the internet and could not find anything information about the microsoft transciever and mac osx.
