Hunterusf
I installed using Myzar DVD. The installation goes through smoothly but when the system boots I receive an error parsing the com.apple.boot.plist. This seems to not really be a major problem as in verbose mode the system starts loading kernels and what not. The problem is that it gets stuck when is can't read other .plist files in the system configuration folder. i'm installing this on top of 10.4.3. Any ideas? Hunterusf
Well I got it to install by doing a clean installing and de-selecting the 10.4.5 update so I'm on 10.4.4. How should I go about updating to 10.4.5. Can I use the myzar DVD I already have? duncanfc
I've got the same problem using a fresh JaS prepatched 10.4.6 dvd.iso install. In stalls fine, I select the customise install, choose the box for AMD cpus (what does the X11 option do?) And like I said, I can work the Disc utility fine and other stuff, but then the hang onthe apple.boot.plist bit. Any ideas? A previous 10.4.3 installed worked perfectly fine on my: Asus K8V SeDelux mobo spare IDE drive (didn't find the SATA drives until after the install) AMD Clawhammer 64 with SSE2 (never got the DVD movies to work though) Netgear ethernet FA311 to DSL modem/router (had to disable Marvell gigabit onboard LAN) USB mouse PS2 keyboard Soundmax onboard sound (left rear speaker only) In fact, I had a dual boot system going with WinXP64...I wonder if some of my problem is the boot manager?
