IOPCIFamily 2.4.4 loads as 2.4.1

Hi poeple,

 

I am new to this forum and really apreciate all the work on this project!!

 

I installed iDeneb v1.4 on my PC.

 

It has a Pentium 4, 3Ghz

512 MB RAM (PC3200, 400 Mhz)

Mainboard Fujitsu Siemens D1785 (SIS chipset)

Sound: Onboard Chip and PCI Soundblaster Audigy SE

Graphics: ATI Radeon X800 GTO

Network: SIS900 Ethernet chip

 

I have several issues to solve, as I can boot only with the boot DVD and have no kexts for graphics, Audio and network loaded.

 

In the log file I found that the kXAudio-kext and the sis900-kext do not load due to a wrong version of IOPCIFamily. I always get the error:

 

loaded version 2.4.1 of module com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily differs from requested version 2.4.4

 

I opened the IOPCIFamily.kext's Info.plist and surprisingly found that the version is definitely set to 2.4.4 here! But kextstat (as well as the bootlog) tell me that version 2.4.1 is loaded.

 

How can this be???

 

I am sure to have no other (older) IOPCIFamily.kext on the pc. As the values in the Info.plist are all set to the correct version 2.4.4 I have no idea how to make it load as 2.4.4 and not as 2.4.1

 

Is that a bug of the kext that it loads with an old version number?? what can i do? change the settings in the kexts the depend on the new version to 2.4.1, would that work?

 

I'd really be glad about any helps or pointing me to the right resource for an answer!!
