Hi all

I have just upgraded my new mac mini RAM from the standard 1GB to 4GB DDR3, the upgrade went well installed and the computer detected the 4GB of RAM and was working fine.(check the screen shot attached). But when i shut it down and started it back up i get one beep that keep sound until i manually shut it down, but the strange thing is that if i put the power plug out and put it back in it works fine, does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it???

Thanks

I have found that the RAM that I install was not completely compatible with the mac mini, this is my first mac and didn't think it would matter.

Does anyone know or have used this memory in a mac mini it says that it is apple memory

Corsair 4GB (2 x 2GB) PC3-8500 1066Mhz DDR3 SODIMM RAM - Apple Mac Memory - VSA4GSDSKIT1066

I used the Patriot DDR3 in mine and it worked perfectly. I also upgraded the HD to a 200GB 7200-RPM Toshiba.

My Mac Mini is super fast now and it runs virtual machines with ease.

The Mac has become my main computer. I can't bring myself to look at PCs anymore unless I am fixing one.
