Denisco
Hello, Soooo... here I come , after using Windows 7 Beta ) Sorry if I'm posting it in wrong section, but actually I'm writing in Safari on Kalyway, so I hope finding solution from you guys without reinstalling it again and again I've searched whole forum, but didn't find the proper solution... So, I've installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on my ASUS F5M AP002A machine (standard specification, I've only increased ram to 2GHZ and hard drive to 320 GB).. Everything seems to work, after using selected by default kernel 9.2 , NVIDIA Memory Controller and 1st AMD SSE2/3 patch + "Boot with ..." (I don't remember) But, unfortunately instead of 1280x800 resolution which is default for my display I got 1024x768 and mouse lags, blinking cursor. I've read that there is NVInstaller package, but after installing it everything seems to die, so I've reinstalled system and I rely on you. Any suggestions? Here are my laptop specs, maybe I install it bad and use bad kernels/patches/drivers? Also, usb ports are not working... Asus F5M-AP002A, AMD Sempron Mobile 3400+ (90 nm; 256KB L2; 1.80 GHz; 1600 MHz; 25W) mainboard chipset: NVIDIA nForce 430 (C51MV) monitor: WXGA (1280 x 800) Glare/Color Shine SO-DIMM DDR2 667MHz (2 GB installed) graphics: nVidia GeForce Go 6100 64 MB audio: nVidia High Definition Audio (support DTS effect) hard drive: 320GB (5400 rpm) Thanks in advance, peter Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/162904-asus-f5m-ap002a-kalyway-1052/ Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
You probably downloaded drivers that are intended for 10.5.5 or 10.5.6. Try to get your system updated to at least 10.5.5. You can start by going to 10.5.3 with the Kalyway 10.5.3 update. Use google to find it. Remember to install a kernel from the included kernel package before rebooting - read the docs.
