rage_311
Hey everyone - So, after much struggle yesterday, I was finally able to get iDeneb 10.5.5 installed and everything working. I had to download separate kexts for both my video card (AGP Radeon HD 2600XT) and my onboard LAN. I downloaded skge.kext for the LAN, modified the Info.plist inside it with my appropriate vendor/device ID, then did a cp -R into the /system/extensions/ionetworkingfamily.kext/contents/plugins/ and it worked immediately. A window popped up and said it found a new networking card. I set it up for DHCP, it got an IP address and I was on the internet. Then I proceeded to install the kext for my video (which still works beautifully, by the way). I rebooted at the end of the video driver installation and my network card stopped working. I got nothing... How do I get it back? I've tried to delete the kext, re-copy it, and still haven't had any luck. I'm a total Mac/OS X/BSD noob. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Also, a lot of the "guides" for installing kexts tell you to delete the /system/library/extensions.mkext and the /system/library/extensions.kextcache. The extensions.kextcache doesn't exist on my system (for an older version maybe?) Is there an equivalent for my newer version that I need to be "deleting"? Thanks in advance! I've been struggling with this for HOURS! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/162617-p4p800-with-onboard-3com-3c940-nic/ Share on other sites
