Chrissy Posted April 17, 2009 Share Posted April 17, 2009 Well - as stated above, I'm having a pretty strange problem: I installed a fresh iDeneb 1.4 (10.5.6) and after the second boot my RTL8139 in my Lenovo 3000 n100 0768 FTG worked like a charm. After I installed the 2009-001 Security update it somehow stopped working: First the hardware was still shown in the Network-Prefpane but as it allways stated "Cable not connected" even though it was (and I changed the cable and the Port on my Switch which works - this message is from a PC on the same port I used with my Lenovo Notebook) so I deleted it there as I had this problem before and deleting the hardware-settings and resetting it worked. So I rebooted and now I cant readd the missing Network-Card. I checked if the card itself has a problem by using a Ubuntu Live CD but there it was found and could be used without any problem. Anyone has any idea on how to fix this?
