bouloi75
I've tried several times this installation method but each time I ended with a kernel panic error. The steps I've done are as follow: - Downloaded .ISO original (http://www.mediafire.com/?uwd9dtttjfk) - Edited initred.img using Superhai method - Copied kext files in my Extra/Extensions folder (ACPIPS2Nub.kext, AppleACPIPlatform.kext*, AppleAHCIPort.kext, ApplePS2Controller.kext, dsmos.kext*, IntelCPUPMDisabler.kext, SMBIOSEnabler.kext) * Files copied from my Leopard working installation (other installation method). I tried with and without those files but same error. - Burn .iso on a CD; - Boot this CD; - When Darwin prompt appeared, ejected CD and put Mac OS X Leopard Retail DVD; - Pressed -v and enter - Retail DVD starts to boot but then I get a kernel panic. See attached picture for more details I have another Leopard 10.5.5 running on this hardware configuration (using other installation method, NOT Boot-132) Any idea????? Thanks! Configuration: Asus P5E, Intel E8400, Sapphire XT1950 GT Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/162476-kernel-panic-when-installing-leopard-from-retail-dvd-with-boot-132/ Share on other sites
