savestheday
Seems like the options or "bootcamp" (Windows XP on a separate drive) partitions I setup, need to be re-setup on reboot. I have an extra "bootcamp" VM that I'm able to delete but not start up. This extra partition shows up in black. The new partition has none of my settings from that I previously setup and needs to be reinitialized. This same problem existed when I used an EFI-X. Is there a well known fix for it? Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/162391-vmware-fusion-problem/ Share on other sites

savestheday
Seems it's a common issue: http://communities.vmware.com/thread/194648 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/162391-vmware-fusion-problem/#findComment-1136901 Share on other sites
popu
Yeah, I get the same problem and when I delete the bootcamp VM it comes right back later when I restart Fusion. Annoying, I wish I could completely get rid of all those bootcamp VM's. Fusion in general seems kind of wacky compared to Workstation. Like what's up with the multiple snapshots? Maybe I'm missing a setting or something but in Fusion it's not a tree like in Workstation. Instead it's just a big flat list, you can't tell which snapshots are which. One of the reasons why I just stick with Linux as my primary OS and only run OSX in a VM.
