shinew
I followed this instruction strictly -> http://www.nedprod.com/Niall_stuff/MacOS%20X/index.html everything went fine as described till step 10. The system hangs where the apple logo appears with a "/ in the circle" error. I know for sure that it is because of my graphic card because when installed Deadmoo 10.4.1, it had the exact same problem, except that I was able to get into the OS with the "-x" option and fix it once I'm in. However, in this version, after I choose "Mac OS X" from the windows dual boot, I do not see the "MacOS X boot loader" that is supposedly followed by the XP boot loader. It just goes straight to the "apple loading screen" and hangs there, there seems to be nothing I can do. So can someone please tell me how to get into the OS in safe mode OR even better, I just need to get into the system Extensions dir to get rid of all the Ati*.kext and put in a Ati.kext(that's how 10.4.1 worked for me). thank you very very very much! shinew
Thank you very much! I'm feeling like an idoit with mac... more problems though... So I could boot with more options, now it turns out that the system hangs with following message: Waiting for boot volume with UUID D9ER5A27-9028-33F3AD9F-688277E1CC26 Waiting on <dic ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources<?string><key>IOResrouceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-meda<?string><?dict> So 2 questions: 1) what does the error mean and what went wrong? 2) how do I fix it? again, thank you very very much!
