jimmy_effected
This might be a really stupid question, but I figured I'd ask anyway and someone would be able to give me a yay or nay. I've established that my video card is never going to work with Leopard at this point (ATI 4850), so I have been happily using the VESA drivers that were working to start with when I got Leopard running. I added lines of code so that it would permanently boot in 1280x1024x32. Then. I went and got a bigger monitor. Because I'm a douche So now I have a lovely big 24" widescreen monitor, which has an aspect ratio of 16:10. Whereas the VESA driver only seems to display resolutions that are 4:3. For example, when I tried to change my string from 1280x1024x32 to 1920x1200x32 it defaulted right back to 1600x1200 (which is what I'm using now). Is there any way I can force the aspect ratio to change? Or am I permanently stuck like this?
