thedopefishlives
Hey all. Due to some technical difficulties stemming from the install DVD I created, I couldn't install the OS directly to my laptop. Instead, I installed it on my PC (nForce3 Ultra), made sure that it worked, then captured a disk image that I transferred to my laptop's hard drive. It boots just fine, the harware works - with two exceptions. One of those is pretty important, and that's the wired Ethernet. It's an onboard Realtek RTL-8139 (PCI ID 10ec:8139). kextstat shows that the AppleRTL8139Ethernet kext is loaded, but there is no en0 interface. How can I debug this problem and get myself some wired networking going? thedopefishlives
SOLVED by using the IOPCIFamily.kext compiled from OpenDarwin sources, obtained from somewhere else in this forum. Now, can someone help me understand why I'm getting a kernel trap with the AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext driver?
