chris7519
For what ever reason, I am having issues booting from my modified Retail DVD which SHOULD let me install onto a MBR partition allowing me to dual boot with windows on a single HDD and safely download software updates etc... However, I am unsuccessful in my attempts to boot up with the modded DVD. I am able to boot up the installation with Boot132 and the original retail... so I'm wondering if I am able to do this, could I just mount an image of the modded DVD and install, or possibly boot with a non-retail DVD (ideneb) and do the same??? For example... I have the image I would LIKE to install on a USB drive, which I have labeled "Mac OS X Install DVD" and is identified as disk6s1. So could I go into the terminal and type in a command to install from there? I'm horrible at anything having to do with the terminal, so if this is possible, could someone possibly provide the needed command... chris7519
Got this working... I copied the modified Retail DVD to a USB drive and booted with Boot132 CD. For some reason it didn't hang when starting up... and only took about 6 minutes to install Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/161799-how-to-mount-image-to-install/#findComment-1132867 Share on other sites
