Zaap Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 If you're really needing the machine to work as a Hackintosh, then built it yourself. Making the huge assumption that some random Dell or other PC will just magically work as a Hackintosh is a silly gamble. Unless you know the exact motherboard in the system, (that's what matters most, not the secondary components other than the graphics card) and what install method is best to use with it, there's simply no way of knowing if it will really work or not, other than to roll the dice. Take a look at the HCL wiki- even known working boards have various quirks and issues, and obviously a select few work far better than the vast majority, and most PC motherboards in general don't work at all.
