Hi, I'm having a {censored} of a time trying to install OSX Leopard on my new Dell Mini 10 Netbook

Seems my External USB DVD drive isn't up to snuff so I have t go the bootable USB root however I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the USB drive to boot!

I've attempted to install an image of Retail OSX on the USB which I then attempted to boot with type11 darwin cd however i can't figure out the hex code to boot via USB..

Ive attempted to install an image of iDeneb 1.4 on the USB however it doesnt seem to want to boot... I'm really stuck here..

When using iDeneb DVD via external USB drive it starts loading and then chokes out during the Apple grey boot screen as described on http://www.onu.ro/blog/2009/02/how-to-hack...netbook-how-to/

Maybe the DDMac trick works on your netbook as well, I used this guide for my Samsung NC-10. Basically it involves copying your Mac OS X installation DVD to an empty partition on your harddisk and starting the installation from there. You need a working Windows XP installation on your netbook for it to work, dual-booting afterwards is easy.

Check out the file section here:

and download the Samsung NC10 guide.

Good luck!
