Hello!

To start of with i don't exaktly know if this is the right place for my to write this but i hope i get my message out.

and my English is poor aswell, sorry. :)

I just wanted to share a big thanks to this forum for making my installation possible.

So many good threads to scan my problems with.

So, whats working you on his rig you wonder?

Ethernet=Fully working

Sound=Fully working, Microphone working aswell

Graphics=right resolution, 2 screens working in separate mode (extended or what you will call it Mac foks)

Key bindings= Used DoubleCommand to change them to fit my PC keyboard. Like the must have binding copy paste :)

Mouse=Used SteerMouse to correct some buttons on my Logitech G5

USB=Working

Restart,Shut down, Sleep=Everything works but Sleep, it wont resume.

DVD driver: Working, had to turn of that in Energy Saver "Put the hard disks to sleep when possible" to make it stop working after 15 mins of inactivity.

So pretty much everything works for me, great. So what did he use?

iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6 burned with DVD Decrypter with slowest speed

Guides on this forum, just some of them like getting my ALC889A (sound card) working and the ATi 4870 (i know i've a 4870x2, but it works untill better stuff comes around)

USB was working from start, same with shut down(not restart, still sleep wont work propperly) Ethernet worked from start aswell, used RTL1000 (think thats the name) for it.

Used the IHC fix (again think thats the name) for my chipset ICH9.

So whats his exakt system spec? Well its this

CPU:E8500

Mobo:Gigabyte x38-DQ6 Bios F9F

Ram:Corsair Dominator 1066mhz

HDD:Raptor 74gb (windows) 1tb storage and the 160gb sata for OS X

Graphic card: ATi HD4870x2

Was he lucky to get it working on the first installation of Mac OS X?

No.

I was trying different settings in my BIOS and different options in customize for 2 days before i succsesfully booted in to Mac, but thanks to this wonderfull forum and the Osx86 project for making this happen

Oh, and i've a Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card which seems its not supported yet... or anyone else have a clue? thanks.

Cheers,

Merix
