Successful install, but freezes with high activity....

For some reason my osx86 machine freezes when I'm doing intensive things like repairing a large par2 set or extracting a big ole image file. I really have no idea where to go/what to do to diagnose this, since I'm rather new to this whole Mac OSX thing.

 

System:

Motherboard - Asus m2r32-mvp

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+

4gb of DDR2 800mhz ram

Hard drive is a Seagate ST3400832AS 400gb SATA drive

Video card is a x1950xt, I forget what brand.

I have my bcm4306 based Motorola WPC1810G recognized as Airport

and some LG dvd-dl burner.

 

I don't really know what to include with diagnosing this problem, so I ran xbench on some things and my results are below. But I don't really know what to do or where to start, any ideas? Thanks a lot, this forum has been crazy helpful in getting my rig this far!
