asronline
I recently joined this forum full of questions however with alot of research and several different experiments I finally figured out how to successfully update Leo4All v2 to OS X 10.5.5. Today I am to tell you all how to do it. Assuming you are using Leo4All v2 you are going to be on version 10.5.2; So lets update to 10.5.3! 1. To update Leo4All v2 to 10.5.3 we are going to use the Kalyway 10.5.3 Combo update; do a google search and find the file. Now you should get to files the Kalyway Combo Update and the Kalyway Kernel installer. Run the Kalyway 10.5.3 Combo update and wait for the install to finish. Now DON'T click restart yet, navigate to the Kalyway Kernel Installer and run it. You will get 2 options Modbin Kernel or Vanilla Kernel however if you don't want to mess with your Kernel then just Click continue and without selecting anything. This install should finish quickly when it does it is safe to Restart. Now on boot-up type: update -v and VOILA! you are now on 10.5.3 2. Updating to 10.5.4: You can get the update file from Apple's website get the 10.5.4 Update not the combo one. Once you have the file just install as normal and restart when it's done this update is very easy and you don't have to mess around with anything. 3. Now the hard part Updating to 10.5.5 Ok we are only going to install CoreServices because this is the only thing that worked for me and I'm sure it'll work for you. Download the 10.5.5 Update from Apple's website make sure it's not the combo one. Mount MacOSXUpd10.5.5.dmg. Use Pacifist to open the Mac OS X 10.5.5 Update pkg. Open Terminal sudo -s *type password* while sleep 1; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext; done Use pacafist to install only: System -> Library -> CoreServices Install CoreServices allowing it to update and over write whatever it wants as administrator. Go back to your terminal and press Control C to end the script Open "About this Mac" and it should now display Version 10.5.5! Download and install the iPhone SDK and develop some apps! If you have any trouble just reply and i'll see what I can do.
