W4rbl4cK
OMG man! I make the download in 3 days, i burn the image but don't found the solution! The Disk Utility do not found my HD! I need help! hauhauhau Where are the problem? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16143-sata-hd/#findComment-105766 Share on other sites
belgrano
It wont work, only the latest 10.4.6 Jas Patched DVD do it. What part of that don't you understand? 10.4.4 don't have the patches that will allow you to use a SATA HDD if you have a nForce 4 chipset. It took you 3 days to download 10.4.4? And that is what? Too long?! Well I downloaded it in a week, then 10.4.6 took me 10 days... so impatience will not help you, nor it will patch your 10.4.4. The Basilisk
It wont work, only the latest 10.4.6 Jas Patched DVD do it. I have a 200gb maxtor hard drive and I too have the MacOSX_10.4.4 DVDPATCHED_Myz DVD. I applied the MacOSX_10.4.4DVD_PPF4 patch and I'm having the same problem. When I get to the part where I have to select a destination to install OSx, I see nothing. If the I download the latest 10.4.6 Jas Patched DVD will my maxtor SATA hard drive be recognized? Please help me! It took me nearly a week and a half to download the 10.4.4 myzar DVD. Quasimidi
W4rbl4cK: Just download the 10.4.6 DVD iso and the 10.4.6 PPF patch by JAS. Apply the PPF on the ISO, burn it on DVD (not on the highest speed!). The installation worked for me, but I wasn't able to boot into OSX. Might work, I have a SATA drive too, the installation went fine (except the installer couldn't set the HFS partition active). The booting is not working at all, tried several methods described in the forum. Go to Demon*id and register yourself. 2. Search for 10.4.6 (Select Application category, then subcategory: Machintosh) 3. You will get 2 post on date: April 19, 2006 by Jasser and April 16, 2006 also by Jasser. 4. Get those files (aka download the ISO and the PPF patch) 5. When U done (aka the downloads finished, the ISO file and the PPF patch is ON YOUR PC), start the PPF patcher (ppf-o-matic3-full-dist directory-> ppfgui -> Windows). 6. Browse for the unpacked PPF file, and the 10.4.6 DVD ISO. 7. Click "Patch". Ready to burn! Quasimidi
Ok, I did some research on a hungarian OSX x86 forum. There is 3 active OSX86 developer there (one of them working with JaS). The SATA support is very basic right now, so don't expect much success with it. If it's working on your config, than you are lucky. Wait until a new SATA driver comes out.
