CaptMac
Hi- been running 10.5.6 for a while now. Ran a repair permission and now my system halts during boot up with a panic (gray screen...hold down key, etc...) I believe the permissions got messed up. I booted the OS DVD and attempted to "repair" the disk but it errors out. Verify also does not work. BTW the drive is listed but does not have the original name I gave it. Is there a way at the Terminal prompt to fix permissions? I've read that a Chmod 1775 may work? I'm rusty on linux/unix and do not know how to mount and try this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
