NfiniteZERO
So, I'm taking a swing at this whole OS X thing. I've worked with Linux before and know I had to do my reading beforehand. After that, I popped in the install disk and hoped for greatness. My system is the ASUS G50Vt-X5 laptop (courtesy of Best Buy). It's a Centrino 2 box so I'm guessing everything in here is Intel as far as chipsets go. I also know what won't work from reading testimonials. Specs below. Intel C2D 2.13Ghz 4GB DDR2-800 RAM 320GB HDD with 2 partitions (OSX/Vista) Nv GF 9800M GS 512MB Intel 5100ABGN Wireless Realtek AL663 Audio Install went w/o a hitch, but it keeps stalling out when it boots. I double/triple check all the appropriate flags but she's not going anywhere. I'm guessing offhand it's somewhere close to where the kernel actually loads (it's not returning any error codes- I'll try to get an SS of it posted here soon.) Installation options: ICHx fix PS/2 fix for mouse PS/2 fix for keyboard DSDT patch Chameleon with DSDT support I've tried this on both the Vanilla kernel and the Voodoo kernel with the same results. Any help appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/161197-ipc-1056-final-and-my-asus-g50vt-x5/ Share on other sites
