I can't get iDeneb 10.5.5 to work, so I'm trying to get Kalway 10.5.2 to work. I boot up the DVD and get to one of two places.

rtl_r1000_nic_ext: Ethernet address 00: 1f: c6 :66 :09 :37

or:

IOSCSIPeripheralDeviceType05: :SetPowerState0x6615300, (1 -> 4) (from here it keeps repeating with different timeouts.)

I get the same problem booting up normally and if I use the SpeedStepKernel or ModBinKernel(This doesn't get anywhere near as far)

I've heard my 690G chipset is the problem but I don't know how to go about fixing it. Any help would be grand.

Here are my system specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+

Mobo: Asus M2A-VM AMD 690G Chipset with integrated Radeon X1250 Graphics

Graphics: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT 1GB DDR2 RAM

4 GB of RAM

80GB IDE WD Caviar SE HDD (also have a 10GB partition for this, if it is possible, on my WD sATA HDD)

OK. Now I booted up the DVD with this command "speedstepkernel -x" This runs it in safe mode and I get to the language install screen for the first time ever! But the problem now is my mouse and keyboard are not functioning. They are both PS2, and in the startup diagnostics I got this: "ApplePS2Controller: Timed out on Keyboard input stream"

Would using a keyboard and mouse from a Mac computer work or just go with a USB interfaced mouse/keyboard?
