No more of Windows Crap
I got some money and wanted to get a wireless card that works. my neatgear wnp311 does not work in ipc 10.5.6 and I was looking to get something that did. I bought mine cause there was a false report of it working in 10.6 (WRONG). However, i fixed this problem in 10.5.8 and it is now working as Airport. Fully Fucntional and automatically connecting to my prefered wireless AP. I had this working in Snow Leopard but it was not recoginized as airport. I was connected to the internet but had no choice to what ap i was connected to. nothing. Now after some editing it is recognized as airport but will not enable to connect to any internet. hmmmmm. Will post when i get it working. Follow this guide and it should work for 10.5.6. The IO80211Family.kext came from 10.4.8 and the plist files are universal cause mac will refresh its devices with your newly added ones. -EDIT-I got this working in 10.5.x and 10.6.x fully functional and as Airport. 10.6.x have to boot with -x32 flag WNP311 Guide Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/160970-what-network-card-is-the-best/#findComment-1289066 Share on other sites
