When I sleep it successfully powers off (albeit a bit slow), but then when I try to wake the computer, it will power on but nothing loads and I am left with a black screen (my monitor wont even detect the input).

Any ideas?

I've done quite a bit of searching to no avail : (

I'm going on vacation for a few days, I'll be back Wednesday or so next week. I will check this thread on my iPhone and possibly my laptop if I bring it. Cmon guys I know there are others out there with this problem, and especially with this board!

have you got any IDE drives plugged in? i use to have that. the system's quite picky about it anyway but since i made the move to sata only it seems to wake up 9 times out of 10.

I am using SATA drives, however my DVD drives are IDE I believe. The Asus P5W-DH Deluxe does have a JMicron controller also. How do you have your JMicron controller set up in the BIOS? Also, what processor did you have before the Q6600, because I was wondering how much of a performance increase I'd get going from an e6600 (dual core 2.4 GHz) to a q6600 (quad core 2.4 GHz).

So anyways do you have your BIOS configuring SATA as AHCI? What about JMicron? Do you have that set in AHCI or Basic Mode?

guys -.- cmon can you at least suggest a few things if you know anything about this board...

also a side question,

Do you think it's worth it to get an XFX nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX for around $180 over my currently used XFX nVidia GeForce 7950 GTX and get a better processor heatsink/fan for my e6600 and OC it from 2.4 GHz to like 2.8 or so, or get a q6600 and use the stock heatsink (at stock speed) and probably not get a new gfx card (or get an 8 series for less)?

I'm also wondering if the XFX 9800 GTX is fully compatible with just EFI strings (or if it's compatabile at all)
