projekt k
ok so I have a ud3p MOBO with that onboard sound. I really have no interest in dual booting windows as it is only needed probably once a month. So i got parallels and installed windows 7, everything works except for sound, even if i download realtek drivers off site. So i thought maybe it's windows 7, so I tried Vista, again everything works, except vista is slower on virtual machine than 7 is, and sound still doesn't work. So I'm like researching it online, and hear some have had the problem with XP too. I havn't tried XP yet but I feel i'll get the same result. I figure since the issue is all around I might as well stick with what I want and thats windows 7. if anyone has any valuable info on how I can get the sound to work within parallels let me know. VMware Fusion is an option but not trying it still I get an answer on what I should do. My friend makes music in Fruity Loops, is actually good at the program so I find of need sound on that end. also if i get a virus on the VM can i just delete the VM and reinstall it lol? Whn I say virus I mean one that actual alters your windows desktop and deletes your restore points and disables Ctrl Alt Del, lol just curious if it's capable of corrupting my hackintosh files as well. projekt k
i tried xp and sound works so i guess it could be a compatibility issue on the windows end i was having. xp is fine, its only for Adobe PhotoShop and Fruity Loops so I am not really picky. I prefer OS X, but needed MS for certain apps. hahahha lol thanks if you read this Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/160435-parallels-desktop-issue/#findComment-1123778 Share on other sites
