Realtek ALC655 ILCH5 not working

I've been trying to get my audio to work on my MSI 848P Neo for the last few days using all of the methods in the discussions.

 

At startup it says failure to load AppleAC97Audio.kext, and kextload fails either not noticing the file or due to bad permissions. I tried the Audio guide on the wiki site, but i can't navigate to the /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext/Contents and there is no AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext file in my Extensions folder even though its 10.4.5.

 

The vendor IDs are already correctly entered, for some reason the system refuses to load the extension. I'd appreciate any help!
