chucklean
Hi guys, I set up Leo4All Release on my AMD 64 machine a few weeks ago. The PC has also a multiboot-interface with a Tiger and Windows-installation and overall it's working properly. Unfortunately Leopard is not really fast like I expected it is. I know that my PC (AMD 64 3400+ (754 Socket), 1GB Ram, 3 IDE Drives, 7800 AGP whatever, MSI K8 Board etc) is not state of the art, but Tiger is running much better than Leo does. In detail mainly browsing files or websites is slow. Scrolling down the app menu or your nice board leads to a laggy interface. That's not really sophisticating. I've full hardware support, my graphics are working even with Cider-ported games, USB, LAN and Sound is quite good. Only requesting file listing by scrolling or browsing causes the problem. Could it be that my drivers are not installed correctly (that's my assumption), are my IDE drives to slow...? Lots of questions. Asking for advice. Thanks, chucklean
